What's happening in the world of Simoco....

Victorian Sate Emergency Service use SIMOCO in new contract!

As part of the Vic SES Operational Radio and Dispatch project, ComGroup Australia will supply two way radio equipment and vehicle location technology to over 750 front-line mobile and fixed sites in Victoria, for the Victorian State Emergeny Services.

Comgroup Australia Project leader Dan Quagliani says that the award marks another important achievement in supplying key radio systems to agencies for mission critical applications and is a strong vote of confidence for their Australian designed technology.
“Our multi-mode radios will be used to provide a system of cross-band and cross-protocol fixed and mobile repeaters” he said. “This will allow SES staff to utilize their existing UHF analogue portables to communicate with command and control centres across the Telstra SMR network via any nearby In-Vehicle Repeater”.
ComGroup will supply P25 ready equipment, so that future digital secure operation will be supported.

 X-Mode Radios are here...

Customers looking to move to P25 digital capability in the near future but, want conventional and or Trunked MPT1327 capability now, need look no further: X-Mode digital ready radios are heer now!

Simoco SRP9100 range sets the standard for radio communications. Designed for the professional user, it combines simplicity of operation with sophisticated functionality.
The SRP9100 series of portables is based on the same platform as the SRM9000 Mobile Radio and uses DSP technology for filtering, signaling, speech processing and modulation.

The Xmode is a cost-effective terminal for users, who are considering a move to P25 in the future as the various operating modes can be added on step by step without replacing the terminals. This flexibility has been put to great use by Public Safety organizations in Australia and overseas who need to temporarily extend the footprint of their existing wide-area radio networks to a local-area system stemming from their vehicle.

xmode_squareSimoco X-mode portables support P25 trunked and conventional operating modes in addition to the existing Conventional (Analogue FM)PMR and MPT1327 operating modes.

AES and DES secure digital voice encryption modes, GPS tracking and mobile data are also supported in both trunked and conventional digital modes.

Field performance is further enhanced by an intelligent voting algorithm, which ensures optimum receiver performance in low signal areas.
